Josh Brillante has joined Empoli on loan from Fiorentina.
The 21-year old Australian midfielder will spend the remainder of the season with the Azzurri after making just two appearances for La Viola.
Brillante, who has five caps for the Socceroos, joined the Florence club from A-League side Newcastle Jets in July but has hardly featured in Italy's top flight since making his first start against Roma on August 30.
Empoli, managed by Maurizio Sarri, currently sit 16th on the Serie A table ahead of Monday's meeting with 12th-placed Udinese in which Brillante could make his debut at the Stadio Carlo Castellani.
