Fiorentina are eyeing Sporting CP midfielder Rodrigo Battaglia.

The Argentine has an Italian passport and will turn 27 later this month.

“Fiorentina are interested in the player," agent Rodrigo Villarino told Lady Radio.

“The lad had already been sought after a year ago by Carlos Freitas, so it's not true that Sporting proposed him for a transfer, but the Viola came looking for him.

“We are evaluating, along with the player, the possibility of a move to Florence."
