Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso is in London this morning.

Chelsea have had a €27 million offer for Alonso accepted by the Viola, with the Spaniard now in London for a medical.

Alonso flew into Heathrow last night and the transfer is expected to be rubberstamped before midday.

The Spaniard can play across the back four and also in midfield.

The former Real Madrid Castilla defender has previous Premier League experience with Bolton Wanderers and Sunderland.
