Fiorentina crock Rossi targets February return

Fiorentina crock Giuseppe Rossi is aiming for a playing comeback in February.

The striker is recovering from his latest knee injury.

Agent Federico Pastorello revealed: "The news is positive. The staff who worked on [his knee] have found him to be in excellent condition, with the stability of his knee much improved.

"The recovery phase should, therefore, meet the initial estimate of five months. Things are going well, and I hope to see him back on the pitch between late January and early February.

"The national team? It's one of his priorities, but for now, he is only thinking about returning to the pitch for Fiorentina.

"The Della Valles have been very close to him during this difficult time. He has a strong sense of responsibility and will soon be in Italy to continue his recovery."
