Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano was full of pride after their stunning Europa Conference League semifinal win at Basel.

A 3-1 triumph sees Fiorentina reach the final 3-4 on aggregate, where they'll face West Ham.

Italiano said: "An incredible joy, after this match won in the last minute of the second extra time. Played with great personality, despite their draw we never sucked from the match and we go to another final with merit. I have to congratulate the boys, for the fanatic journey and because they were great today.

"I believed in it, because in the first leg we had played 70 minutes as a great team. I said by playing that way we would have had great satisfaction and today we did.

"The satisfaction is getting to the final in your first experience in Europe. I was keen on this one in particular, but we were also good at getting to the final of the Italian Cup. We had moments of suffering and we were good at reacting, like tonight. We have character, we'll have to show it in the two finals.

"Great satisfaction. Italian football has always been at the top, it has had difficulties from time to time but bringing three teams to the final is a source of pride. All three will try to bring home a trophy."
