Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini was relieved after their 3-2 triumph over Udinese.
Gaetano Castrovilli struck twice in the hard fought win.
Iachini said, “We worked hard with Castrovilli in training to make him more effective in front of goal, because he has the quality and must continue like this.
“It was a tense match. Jose Callejon is putting the effort in and trying to get back into shape. He played close to the striker at Real Madrid and that's what we tried today.
“It's a pity we lost German Pezzella to injury, as he is our captain and we were already missing Franck Ribery, they are leadership figures in the team.
"The lads were tense, as they really wanted to do well. We need to be more concentrated when defending and we are working on the details.
“Considering the performances over the first few rounds, I think we deserved more points."
