Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has dismissed the scoreline of their friendly defeat to Arsenal.

The Viola lost 3-0 in their International Champions Cup opener.

“I'm happy with how we held our own for the first 60 minutes," Montella told Sky Sport Italia.

“We did especially well in the first half. We were very imposing at the back and we played with the principles we'd been working on in training, or at least tried to.

“3-0 was too harsh on us."
