Manchester United have edged arch rivals Liverpool in a thriller at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were seemingly in control after Dimitar Berbatov had scored with a header from a Ryan Giggs corner in the 42nd minute before adding a second with a genius overhead kick just prior to the hour-mark.
But Liverpool hit back through inspirational skipper Steven Gerrard who converted from the penalty spot five minutes later before tying up the clash in the 70th minute with a neat finish from a free-kick.
Not be to be outdone, Berbatov grabbed his hat-trick and maximum points for United by scoring the winner six minutes from time in an exciting finish.
