Despite Frank Lampard's 11th minute miss from the penalty spot, the Blues were in complete cruise control against the Potters and maintained their unbeaten run to stay top of the Premier League.
Florent Malouda netted his fourth goal of the season in the 32nd minute, receiving a neat pass from John Terry before smashing it home past Thomas Sorensen to open the scoring.
Chelsea were unable to lash in six like they had done in their past two outings but did manage a second in the 77th minute when Nicolas Anelka was brought down in the area by Sorensen with Didier Drogba slotting the ensuing spotkick.
Chelsea's record is now three wins from three, scoring 14 goals and conceding nil, whilst Stoke have slumped to three losses and sit second bottom on the table.
