A film about Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in development.

The Mirror reports a Swedish film company are in the process of developing a film all about the Manchester United striker.

The film has an estimated €5m budget and will be based around the record Sweden international goal scorer's memoir 'I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic'.

Ibrahimovic grew up in the 'harsh, underprivileged suburb' in the Swedish city of Malmo with his immigrant parents before making it to the pinnacle of football.

Filmmaker Mattias Nohrborg told Variety: “Zlatan has had an unbelieving destiny; he was brought up in a ghetto where more than 90% of the youth end up being delinquents, and he made everything himself, he's completely self-learned."
