Filip Benkovic is delighted with his move to Udinese.
The defender joins Udinese as a free agent after being released by Leicester City.
He said at his presentation this morning: "I am very happy for this opportunity, when the Udinese option presented itself I did not think about it for a second, I had been coming from a tough year and I needed confidence, Udinese showed it to me and I thank the club, I will commit myself to the maximum.
"Returning to the national team is definitely my goal, but the primary aspect I want to focus on is playing football, after an unhappy period Udinese offers me important means to return to my levels, I certainly dream of the national team, but first of all, I want to repay Udinese's trust.
"It was a simple decision because when I was playing in Croatia I knew that Udinese followed me and I always thought it would be stimulating to play in Italy, here I found a great desire to work and grow, it will be important to achieve the desired goals."
