Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo was one of three forwards voted for by his peers in the 4-3-3 formation line-up of the world's best players for the 2014 calendar year.
Joining the Portugal and Real Madrid ace in the XI were Argentina and Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Germany and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer who ran second and third respectively to Ronaldo in Ballon d'Or voting.
The back four was made up of former Germany skipper and Bayern right-back Philipp Lahm, Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain defenders David Luiz and Thiago Silva and Spain and Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos.
