FIFA confident Curitiba will be ready for Socceroos v Spain

FIFA has confidence that the Curitiba stadium will be ready for this year's World Cup.

The Arena de Baixada venue in southern Brazil is currently under development but FIFA vice-president Jerome Valcke is of the belief that everything will be in place before June.

"FIFA secretary-general Jerome Valcke believes that Curitiba is moving in the right direction," read an email to AFP on Tuesday.

Curitiba will play host to Australia's Group B clash with World Cup holders Spain on June 23 as well as Group F's Iran v Nigeria on June 16, Group E's Honduras v Ecuador on June 20 and Group H's Algeria v Russia on June 26.
