Fifa has extended its partnership with Adidas until 2030, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The agreement will see the German sportswear and equipment brand retain official partner, supplier and licensee rights to the Fifa World Cup and all other tournaments operated by soccer's global governing body.
It will continue to supply the official match ball to these competitions, as well as creating replica versions for retail, as well as providing uniforms for referees and other officials.
In addition, Adidas will be granted extensive branding rights around Fifa events and will continue to support charitable and community projects such as Fifa Goal and the Fifa Football for Hope Adidas Exchange Programme.
Adidas has been a Fifa partner since 1970, when it provided the match ball for the World Cup in Mexico.
