Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie not thinking of Southampton return

Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie admits he has big regrets over his time with Southampton.

The Dutchman is on-loan at Feyenoord from Saints, but is unlikely to return.

Asked if he could play abroad again, he told Bij Andy in de Auto: "For now I say no. Maybe I'll get some money somewhere if I'm 31, 32.

"I had a period where I only sat in the stands for five months, then they do not look at you anymore. I was taken away twice (by the Saints first team), then you're gone for a whole weekend.

"But then I was still put in the stands. At first I thought I had to make this step. But in my second year I often thought: why did I do this?"
