Retiring Spanish striker Fernando Torres admits a return to Atletico Madrid is on the agenda.
However, Torres says he doesn't want a vanity job.
He told AS: "Inevitably we will meet again, but for what I want to do in Atleti I need to study.
"For the expectation that people have for if I return to Atleti, I need time, I need training and I need to be prepared, because I will not return to Atleti being the spokesman or the union between the players and the club. If I want to return to Atleti I would be in a position that allows me to make Atleti bigger than it is, so that I can win things that I have not yet achieved in its history, for that I need time, training and the opportunity to have that position.
"I will never return to occupy a position where I cannot do anything, yes in a position to help the club keep growing and for people to remain identified with the club."
