Manchester City midfielder Fernando is excitedly waiting for the upcoming Wembley trip for the League Cup final.

City will face Liverpool in the final of the Capital One Cup on February 28 and the Brazilian cannot wait to again experience the atmosphere of English football's headquarters.

"It was a hard game [semi-final against Everton] but the chance to play a final at Wembley will be fantastic," he told the club's official website.

"When I played there in the Community Shield it was a very special match. It was my first game here but unfortunately we couldn't come out with the trophy.

"Hopefully when we get back to Wembley we'll have a chance of winning. It's definitely a unique opportunity. Everyone is very dedicated to the opportunity of winning this trophy.

"It will be very important because it will give us the confidence for the rest of the season.

"If we do win this trophy we believe we'll be even more confident in the run up to the other titles and trophies."
