Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho is hopeful that the club can still achieve a top-four finish this season.
However, matters were taken out of City's hands following their 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday as neighbours Manchester United will overtake them in the table if they manage to win their remaining two fixtures which come in the form of West Ham United and Bournemouth, while City play Swansea City next weekend.
"It is not going to be easy because we are no longer depending on ourselves," said Fernandinho.
"We need to win the last game then see what happens in the other matches, but of course we are disappointed today because we played well but then conceded two easy goals and this cost us a lot.
"We will go to Swansea to win and things could look a lot better by this time next week."
