Manchester City have come to an agreement with Fernandinho over a one year contract extension.
The veteran Brazilian is still a key member of Pep Guardiola's squad, helping the team to Premier League and Carabao Cup successes this past season.
According to the Daily Mail, 36-year-old Fernandinho will be a City player next season as well.
Entering his ninth season at a Citizen, the defensive midfielder is likely to play reduced minutes over the course of the upcoming campaign.
But his experience and dressing room presence are so vital to Guardiola and City that he has earned a new deal.
