Newcastle United defender Federico Fernandez is urging Salomon Rondon to return.

Rondon is currently with Dalian Yifang.

Rondon was taking part in an Instagram Live Q&A with Venezuelan journalist Tony Cherchi on Friday and Fernandez was among those tuning in.

As he discussed a host of topics, including his future, in a 50-minute Instagram Live, Fernandez commented 'back to Newcastle', reports Chronicle.

The interview may have been in Spanish but a number of Newcastle fans also followed along, leaving real-time comments such as 'miss you' .
