Ferguson urges Man Utd board to stand by Solskjaer

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wants to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remain in the job.

Pressure is mounting on the Norwegian after Sunday's 5-0 horror show against Liverpool.

The 48-year-old took training this morning, with clear the air talks planned with his glum players.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano adds that Ferguson was a key member of the United board that campaigned for Solskjaer to remain in the job.

The Scot, 79, was spotted stony faced in the crowd during Sunday's match, wearing a look of disbelief.

But the legendary former manager has stuck by his old striker.
