Ferguson expects Man Utd ambassadorial role

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects a role with the club once he decides to step down as manager.

Approaching the 23rd anniversary of his appointment at Old Trafford, Ferguson believes that when he does step aside he will not be able "just to stop".

The Guardian says he likes the idea of an ambassadorial position at the club, similar to Sir Bobby Charlton's current role.
