Fergie Jnr sold me Peterborough - ex-Dundee United midfielder Swanson

Danny Swanson has revealed that new manager Darren Ferguson 'sold' him on a move to Peterborough United.

The 25-year old midfielder departed Dundee United at the end of last season and has now signed a two-year deal with the Posh and admits it was the influence of Ferguson which got him to London Road rather than such clubs as Brighton & Hove Albion and MK Dons who were also keen.

"I am very happy to be here and am very much looking forward to playing for Peterborough," Swanson told the club's official website.

"I was very impressed with the manager Darren Ferguson.

"I have spoken to a few clubs and I have to say that Darren sold the club to me. He told me the formations the team play and where I would fit into that shape, and it is great that a manager knows so much about you.

"Peterborough play good football, that is very evident from the DVDs I have seen and also the things that some of my friends in the Championship have said."
