Manchester United veteran Rio Ferdinand has been omitted from the club's Abu Dhabi training camp.
The Sun says it is understood United will make a statement on Thursday explaining the defender's exclusion from the five-day trip to the Middle East.
Old Trafford boss David Moyes' squad fly out after playing Arsenal at the Emirates tomorrow.
Ferdinand will now follow captain Nemanja Vidic in drawing down the curtain on his Red Devils career.
