Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie says he intends to play out his career in Europe.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United star still has a year to run on his Fener contract and has been linked with a move to Asia.

But Van Persie told Sporx: "I'm not looking for another team. I love my contract and want to stay here.

"Those stories are funny things, but if I leave Fenerbahçe it will not be for China or Qatar.

"If I have the plan to leave, then I go for a team in Europe."
