Fenerbahce sports chief Giuliano Terraneo is in London today.
Fanatik says he is scheduled to meet with United officials this morning and will seek permission to speak formally with Van Persie. Once he gets the green light, Terraneo will make contact with the striker's agent, Kees Vos, to finalise personal terms.
The Italian will spend the next two days in England in an attempt to close a deal.
One stumbling block could be a loyalty bonus Van Persie is due. Vos is currently speaking with United about securing the golden handshake.
