Fenerbahce are pushing to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.

A Spor says Rojo could complete a season-long loan move to Fenerbahce.

The Turkish Super Lig club are closing in on a loan deal for the defender, with sporting director Damien Comolli having reached an initial agreement with the Red Devils.

The 29-year-old was denied a deadline day move to Everton after United's executive co-chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer vetoed the deal.

United see the Toffees as fellow top four contenders and became strongly opposed to the idea of strengthening their rivals.
