Fenerbahce are interested in Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.

Fotomac says Fener transfer chief Damien Comolli - the former Liverpool sporting director - has been in touch with the Reds regarding a deal for the 27-year-old Dutchman.

Wijnaldum was a key part of Jurgen Klopp's midfield after Emre Can and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered injuries last season, but the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho could see him moved down the pecking order.

Wijnaldum's former PSV chief Phillip Cocu is now in charge of Fenerbahce and the club will compete in the Champions League should they progress through the qualifying stages.
