Fenerbahce are refusing to give up their pursuit of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

Fanatik says Fener officials are convinced United can be tempted into parting with the 31 year-old, whose deal expires in 2016.

The Turkish giants are seeking a big-name striker signing this summer and hope to hold talks with Van Persie before the end of the season.

Fener believe they can put together a financial package to convince the Dutchman about moving to Istanbul for two years.

For the moment, United are yet to approach Van Persie's camp about opening new contract talks.
