Fenerbache ace Mesut Ozil is happy seeing Emile Smith Rowe impress at Arsenal.

Smith Rowe struck his first goal for the Gunners in victory over West Brom yesterday.

Ozil posted to social media: "He made the difference in the last couple of games as a No 10.

"Really happy for him… and that he showed that playing with a No 10 still can make sense in today's football."

Ozil's last remark could be interpreted as a dig at Gunners manager Mikel Arteta after the 32-year-old was frozen out last March before eventually having his contract terminated and joining Fenerbahce in the January transfer window.
