Fellaini not bothered about downing former boss as Man Utd get better of Brugge

Marouane Fellaini is not bothered about potentially knocking out Belgian side Club Brugge and his former manager Michel Preud'homme from the Champions League.

Fellaini managed an injury-time goal to help United to a 3-1 victory over Brugge in their Champions League play-off first leg and the goal from the Belgian international has all but sealed the Red Devils' passage into Europe's elite club competition.

Fellaini's header also means that he has denied his former Standard Liege boss Preud'homme a chance to guide his team to Europe and when asked about how the Belgian public would feel about his contribution, the midfielder did not seem too bothered.

The ex-Everton star said: "I don't care! The most important thing is the win.

"It was important to score a third goal. We did so it was a fantastic win. Now we have to be careful in Brugge. It will not be easy but we have the quality to win the game there as well."
