Federico Gatti was thrilled to make a winning debut for Juventus in victory over Spezia last night.

The young defender helped Juve keep a clean sheet for the 2-0 win.

Gatti said at the final whistle: "Making your debut in Serie A is the dream of every kid. Today it was important to win, we didn't concede any goals and I'm very happy.

"I now want to improve myself day after day. We have to get as high as possible, this counts more than personal goals.

"Here we are only destined to improve if one has the desire: you train with many champions and there is a highly trained staff. I improve a lot every day.

"When the coach gives me the opportunity I will have to give my all.

"In Italy there are strong young players, who grow only with confidence: the experiences you have help you to improve. And in Italy we have many good young players."
