Federici still sidelined as Reading prepare for Man Utd

Adam Federici will remain unavailable for Reading with an ankle injury as they get set to face Manchester United this weekend.

The Australian goalkeeper has missed the Royals' past two Premier League outings with the problem he sustained in training two weeks ago and will not make it in time to travel to Old Trafford on Saturday.

Stuart Taylor will again take the gloves, this time for Eamonn Dolan after manager Brian McDermott was sacked on Monday, with youngster Jonathan Henly on the bench as Federici's main rival Alex McCarthy remains sidelined with a shoulder problem.

Reading have lost their past four league outings and currently sit second bottom on the table which puts them in major danger if being relegated.
