Fede Valverde was delighted to score in Real Madrid's rout of Eibar.

Real were comfortable 4-0 winners on Saturday.

Valverde said, “I can honestly say today is one of the happiest days of my life. It was the goal I've been looking for in recent games because I wanted it to be a bit special. Modric laid on a wonderful assist for me, but the important thing is the win to head off on the international break happy.

“When I scored I thought of the people I have around me, the ones fighting by my side. My family, my girlfriend, the ones who are with me through the good and the bad. The goal was for them.
