Tottenham have informed Inter Milan they want to sell Christian Eriksen as soon as possible.
The Dane, off contract in June, has already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri. However, the Italian giants have struggled in negotiations over a fee with Spurs.
TMW reports Spurs are now ready to move on and have informed Inter they can sign Eriksen immediately for a knockdown €16m - plus bonuses.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is keen to see the issue resolved so he can begin rebuilding the midfield he has inherited by Mauricio Pochettino.
Inter could yet dig in, however, and wait until June to take Eriksen on a Bosman.
Mourinho said on Friday: "If the leaders of Inter are optimistic, it means that they are ready to make us an offer, which hasn't arrived yet. Ask the agent, he knows more than I do. I am surprised when I see some people with such responsibilities talking about it."
