Anderlecht coach Vincent Kompany admits he's becoming tired over comparisons with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Kompany played for Guardiola at City before leaving for Anderlecht last year to take up a player-manager role.
He has since hung up the boots and told Eleven Sports: "You have to stop comparing me to Guardiola because I did not come here saying that Anderlecht was going to become Manchester City.
"I never said it, but it will get tattooed on me even if I never say it. It bothers me that we are getting too close to Pep because he is totally inaccessible. It makes us look like a naive club.
"But it is not good for the club to go back to that debate and, ultimately, it does not reflect what we are trying to do.
"It is the identity of Anderlecht that interests us. What will I gain if I ask my players to defend, to launch long balls and lock themselves up in defence? Even if I win the title, it won't be useful to me. I know a way of playing and principles that correspond to what Anderlecht has been historically. It must not be forgotten."
