FCN coach Flemming Pedersen: Kamaldeen Sulemana could handle Man Utd move

FC Nordsjaellands coach Flemming Pedersen says Kamaldeen Sulemana could handle a move to Manchester United.

United had scouts in the stands to see FCN's 2-2 draw with FC Copenhagen on Monday night in a game also attended by Ajax chief Marc Overmars.

Sulemana, 19, has been a revelation for FCN this season as he stepped up his game following last summer's sale of Mohammed Kudus to Ajax. So far this term, the goalscoring winger has scored ten times in 27 games for FCN and has also produced six assists.

For Pedersen, the growing interest in Sulemana is no surprise and knowing United's Scandinavian scout Tommy Moller Nielsen was in the stands is understandable.

Asked about the United presence, Poulsen was quoted by Bold afterwards: "Yes, I can (see him joining United). There's not really a place he cannot commit.

"Yes with the right club and the right environment, because what it's about is also playing time."

Indeed, Pedersen insists as talented as Sulemana is, at this stage in his career the youngster needs to be playing regularly to maintain his development.

He added: "Although he is ready for the top of one of the major leagues in Europe, it is clear that he cannot get as much playing time if the team already has two or three of his type. Playing time is still important as a young player."

Sulemana, who has two caps with Ghana, has a contract with FCN to 2024.
