FC Seoul face difficult task of progressing in ACL

FC Seoul must win and rely on other results going their way in the final two games of the Asian Champions League group stage. The Korean outfit are currently third on the Group F table but are three points behind second-placed Shandong Luneng.

However, Seoul takes on the winless Sriwijaya at the Seoul World Cup Stadium tonight and are expected to win.

They will also be hoping Shandong are beaten by the undefeated Gamba Osaka.

"Our current situation in the AFC Champions League is far from ideal," said Seoul coach Senol Gunes.

"With the results we have had, it looks difficult to reach the second round. We haven't played to our best in the AFC Champions League and haven't managed to control games the way we should have.

"Consequently, we haven't been able to get good results. Even so, we want to finish higher than third place.

"We are hungry to win and keen to show our fans a passionate performance but our situation is not bright. We have to win our last two games against Sriwijaya and then at Gamba Osaka and see what happens."
