FC Midtjyllands captain Erik Sviatchenko says they can be proud of their Champions League group campaign.

FCM signed off with an impressive 1-1 draw against Liverpool.

Sviatchenko reflected: "It has by and large lived up to expectations. Now I have experienced the great experience of the Champions League with fans and without, so if you have to compare the two, then of course there is a big difference, but it does not change at all that the little journey we have been on so short time, has been an experience for the club, for the players and everyone around.

"We have been traded blows with the world's best team, and not many are hurt. We have managed to get through the little eye of the needle, which has been enormously difficult, and we have really fought for that.

"Looking back, it has been a huge experience and fantastic that we still got two points, even though it is not much. But after all, it's still more than the zero that was there before."
