FC Koln have welcomed Stoke City's swoop for Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer.

Koln included a sell-on clause in their original deal with Tottenham two years ago.

It's emerged Koln secured a 10-20 per cent cut of any sell-on fee for Wimmer - who left for Stoke on Wednesday in a €19.5m deal.

The transfer will earn Koln a cool €2-4m.
