FC Dallas have loaned Richard Sanchez to NASL side Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
The Mexico U20 international goalkeeper has been sent to the Strikers in order to gain some game time as they embark on the new NASL season.
"I believe that Richard needed to play," said FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo. "After playing in the Under-20 World Cup with Mexico, he is at the stage where coming here and sitting on the bench is not going to help his development.
"We had a couple teams that were interested in him but Fort Lauderdale really made a commitment to getting him playing time. I am very familiar with the Strikers. They are a first-class organization. Between the additional playing time and the guidance of goalkeeper coach Ricardo Lopes, this loan is going to help Richard continue to develop."
