Eric Hassli is now at his third MLS club since arriving in North America in 2011.
The French striker has been acquired by FC Dallas in a trade with Toronto FC which sees the Canadian club receive a second-round pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
Hassli played with Vancouver Whitecaps for the 2011 MLS season and the first part of 2012 before joining Toronto in July last year and will now spend 2013 in Texas.
"Eric Hassli is a very good player with an incredible resume," FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman said in a statement.
"He fits our needs. He is a big striker who holds the ball very well and is a great goal scorer. Hassli is also a player who can complement Blas Perez, allowing us to play in a two-striker system."
