FC Basle remain hopeful of landing Portsmouth's off contract defender Sol Campbell.
The Swiss side have already made one inquiry for the 34-year-old but were convinced he was going to Trabzonspor in Turkey. However, Campbell rejected that idea and Basle are willing to offer the former England international a three-year deal.
