The father of departing Liverpool wing-back Rafa Camacho says he wants his son to stay in Portugal.
Euclides Camacho, the father and agent of Rafa, admits they favour a move to Sporting CP despite an attractive offer from Schalke.
He told O Jogo: "Camacho has a contract with Liverpool until the next season but there is also the possibility of returning to Portugal, we will see if we can solve it next week.
"It's not that Germany is not the ideal place, it's a good market, but in this phase of transition, we believe that Portugal may be the best way for Rafael, it's his hometown, where his friends, the family, speak the language, can be a great opportunity.
"Return to Portugal and then go to other leagues."
