Silva was set to sign for the Italian club when Manchester City's Champions League adventure concluded.
He had reportedly given them his word, but went back on a verbal agreement, and has now signed for Real Sociedad in his homeland instead.
And Lazio's director Igli Tare criticised Silva. Now Silva's father has hit back.
Fernando Silva told Radio Marca: "Everyone can say what they want, Lazio spoke with their representative, not with David, so I don't understand why they name him as a person.
"He did not have a closed commitment with Lazio and there are other teams like Real that have also spoken with him."
