The father of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny insists Mikel Arteta wants his son to stay at the club.
The Egypt midfielder has been linked with an exit from the Emirates after struggling for playing time this season.
However, Elneny's father says the 29-year-old has received assurances he will stay at the club until the end of the campaign.
Talking to Shams TV - via football.london, he said: "Arteta wants Mohamed to stay. He might need him in the coming period so he will remain until the end of the season.
"I hope that he will end his career at Al Ahly,"
