The father of Sergio Aguero admits he could leave Manchester City this summer.

Leonel Del Castillo, Aguero's dad, claimed the Argentina striker may be set for an emotional return to boyhood club Independiente.

Quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Del Castillo said: "He renewed for two more years but if in July he has to come, he comes to play here.

"It's not that there was a communication and we are seeing if this year or the next one comes in.

"The club didn't get in touch with us. Sergio can not say 'I want to go back'. You have to see if the club wants it as well."

Despite Del Castillo's suggestion, there is yet to be any communication between the two parties.

He added: "With [Independiente chairman Hugo] Moyano everything is okay.

"If somebody calls him, I believe that he's going to be able to set a date to return."
