Former Santos president Luis Álvaro de Oliveira must pay damages to the father of Barcelona star Neymar.

Marca reports he will have to pay 20,000 Brazilian reais to Neymar Snr. The sentence from the Sao Paulo Court of Justice was conclusive.

Neymar's father had no qualms about taking legal action against LAO after seeing a disturbing interview with his compatriot on ESPN.

"No citizen's professional reputation should be publically questioned without consistent evidence", ruled the judge, before adding: "Dishonest descriptions that go beyond a mere professional critique and resemble more of a personal attack cannot be tolerated".
