Fans sing Solskjaer's name as Man Utd belt five past Club Brugge

Manchester United defeated Club Brugge 5-0 at Old Trafford on Thursday to book their place in the Europa League last-16.

The Red Devils broke the deadlock when Bruno Fernandes converted from the spot for the second game in a row.

The penalty came about when Simon Deli blocked Daniel James' shot with his arm, forcing him to leave the field with a red-card.

United kicked into gear then as Odion Ighalo doubled the lead with his first goal for United, before Scott McTominay made it 3-0 before half-time.

The game died off in the second-half but Fred managed to score a brace thanks to pullbacks from Jesse Lingard and Tahith Chong.

The last-16 draw for takes place on Friday at 12:00 GMT.
