Liverpool have ended their interest in Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivory Coast international has been linked heavily with the Reds in recent weeks.
However, the London Evening Standardsays Jurgen Klopp is only considering minor tweaks to his squad and does not want a big money arrival such as Pepe.
In fact, the club's chiefs believe their name is being used promote interest in a player who could be one of the most expensive signings this summer.
They will instead hand a new contract extension to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who will return to full fitness by the 2019/20 campaign.
